Balenciaga seeks a Junior Embroidery Designer in Paris to create innovative embroidery designs for luxury collections under artistic direction.
Role & Responsibilities
- Review and interpret artistic direction themes and translate them into embroidery design concepts
- Conduct visual and iconographic research to develop design propositions aligned with seasonal collections
- Create detailed technical sketches using Photoshop, Illustrator, and hand-drawing techniques
- Develop embroidery designs for lookbooks and showroom presentations with precise motif placement
- Provide daily design support including mood board preparation, meeting coordination, and prototype development
- Assist during fittings and fashion shows to evaluate embroidery execution and design integration
- Monitor the development progression of assigned embroidery models from conception through production
- Participate in prototype and pre-production sample creation, ensuring quality compliance and adherence to industrialization timelines
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of professional experience in embroidery design within a luxury fashion house or equivalent
- Demonstrated expertise with design inputs and motif placement specifications
- Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator
- Strong ability to hand-draw and conceptualize embroidery designs
- Fluent in English and French (Italian language skills preferred)
- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and collaborative working style

2 years of professional experience in embroidery design within a luxury or high-fashion environment, with proven expertise in creating design inputs and specifying motif placements for collection development.
Education
Higher education qualification in fashion design, textile design, or related creative discipline (or equivalent professional experience demonstrating advanced design capabilities).
