Balenciaga seeks Director of Compensation & Benefits and Social Management Control in Paris. Lead compensation strategy, HR analytics, and team of five in luxury fashion house.
Role & Responsibilities
- Define and execute fixed, variable (bonus and commission), and benefits compensation policies; ensure external competitiveness, internal equity, and compliance with local regulations and Group policies through market benchmarking and regulatory reporting
- Oversee annual compensation campaigns including salary reviews, bonus allocations, and long-term incentive programs
- Support HR Business Partners and managers on compensation strategy, employee mobility, promotions, and hiring packages
- Manage salary mass budgets and forecast exercises in liaison with Finance and HR teams
- Produce and analyze HR and social indicators including headcount, personnel costs, turnover, productivity ratios, and key HR performance indicators
- Ensure data reliability and reporting consistency across systems; deliver insights to inform business and organizational decisions
- Develop management dashboards and analytical tools for HR leadership and operational teams
- Guarantee the integrity and quality of HR data across Workday, SAP, payroll, and organizational reference systems for the Maison
- Align HR teams with standards, procedures, governance rules, and SIRH tool adoption; coordinate quality controls and remediation plans with Group Payroll and HR Systems teams
- Contribute to SIRH and process optimization projects
- Build HR Business Partner competencies in compensation management; design and deliver training modules, personnel communications, and educational content on total rewards
- Monitor legislative and tax/social compliance developments for high-headcount countries and track market trends in compensation and benefits
- Participate in Group Compensation & Benefits community forums and represent Balenciaga best practices
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of five professionals; establish team priorities and ensure delivery quality
- Foster a culture of analytical rigor, cross-functional collaboration, and business orientation
- Contribute to HR transformation projects
Qualifications
- Advanced degree in Human Resources, Finance, Management, or business school diploma
- Significant experience in Compensation & Benefits and Social Management Control within an international, high-performing environment
- Mastery of compensation strategy, salary mass management, and HR data analytics
- Strong analytical capabilities with a business orientation
- Ability to engage stakeholders across hierarchies in a matrix environment
- Leadership, rigor, confidentiality, and service mindset
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and HR/Finance reporting tools
- Fluent English (essential)
