Balenciaga seeks a Department Manager in Serris (La Vallée Village). Lead a boutique team, drive clienteling and commercial performance for a luxury product category.
Role & Responsibilities
- Owns commercial performance for the assigned product category, designing and executing action plans in coordination with retail headquarters and the boutique director.
- Leads, coaches and develops a multi‑functional team to achieve qualitative and quantitative targets, ensuring consistent delivery of the Balenciaga client experience.
- Acts as a brand ambassador, promoting Balenciaga’s culture internally and externally and safeguarding visual and experiential standards across all customer touchpoints.
- Builds and maintains a high‑value client portfolio through proactive clienteling, recruitment of new clients and retention of VIP/VIC customers.
- Ensures compliant, efficient execution of store processes including stock organisation, health & safety, HR procedures and sustainability practices.
- Optimises team rotas and weekly/monthly planning, delivers constructive reporting and proposes operational improvements for the department.
Qualifications
- Proven track record as a manager in luxury retail, with responsibility for a team of at least five people.
- Deep product sensibility and solid knowledge of luxury fashion market trends.
- Demonstrated expertise in clienteling and management of a robust client portfolio.
- Strong leadership and coaching capabilities with experience in recruiting, training and developing retail teams.
- Professional fluency in English; proficiency in French is expected in the local context and additional languages are an asset.
