Balenciaga Couture Design Intern in Paris — support haute couture studio research, sketching, and fittings. September 2026.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Conduct visual and iconographic research; create and maintain mood boards and collection boards
  • Execute 3D research including mock-ups, draping, construction, and toile assembly
  • Source vintage textiles, fabrics, and trims to support collection development
  • Prepare and document couture fittings, including photographic capture of fitting sessions
  • Produce and update technical sketches and drawings using hand techniques and digital tools (Photoshop, Illustrator)
  • Maintain and update studio files, collection documentation, and presentation materials
  • Support the day-to-day operational running of the design studio
  • Provide collection follow-up and logistical support throughout the design process

Qualifications

  • Enrolled at a school accredited to issue and sign a French internship agreement (convention de stage) for the full placement duration
  • Fashion school graduate with strong product sensibility, solid fashion culture, and demonstrated interest in haute couture; Master's degree preferred, strong BA candidates considered
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) and Microsoft Office
  • Fluent English (essential)

Experience
