Balenciaga in Paris seeks a Component Purchasing Intern (RTW) to support sourcing, PLM/Esker order creation and supplier follow-up.
Role & Responsibilities
- Code components and materials within the PLM system to ensure accurate parts taxonomy and traceability.
- Create and process purchase orders in PLM and Esker; ensure correct documentation and routing.
- Monitor and follow up on supplier orders to ensure on-time delivery and resolve exceptions.
- Receive and inspect incoming components (quality control and identification) and update inventories.
- Liaise with suppliers to collect technical specifications, lead times and purchasing conditions.
- Maintain and update procurement and development IT tools and databases.
- Perform administrative follow-up of component files, archiving and record maintenance.
- Provide operational support to the purchasing team on ad hoc sourcing and supplier queries.
Qualifications
- Current university student or enrolled in a recognised fashion school (undergraduate or postgraduate).
- Strong sensitivity to the Balenciaga aesthetic and product universe.
- Autonomous, reactive and rigorous with excellent organisational skills.
- Good interpersonal skills and a proactive, initiative-driven attitude.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Word; familiarity with PLM systems and Esker is an advantage.
- Fluent English is a plus.

Internship-level role: suitable for candidates currently in higher education (university or fashion school). Prior internships or practical experience in sourcing, purchasing or product development are beneficial but not mandatory.
Education
University-level studies or enrolment in a fashion school (ongoing studies acceptable).
