Balenciaga is seeking a Compensation and Benefits Assistant Manager to lead compensation and benefits, HR controls and budgeting, payroll, and HR systems across Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Australia, and New Zealand. The role includes regional insurance renewals, benchmarking, incentive design, payroll oversight, and HR system implementation and support.
Role & Responsibilities
- Lead and manage compensation and benefits activities across Southeast Asia and Oceania.
- Coordinate annual group insurance renewals and liaise with brokers and insurers.
- Conduct compensation and benefits benchmarking and market surveys.
- Design and implement commission and incentive schemes for retail operations.
- Support the annual salary merit review process through data analysis and recommendations.
- Manage the full HR budget cycle.
- Analyze variances between HR operating costs and budget forecasts.
- Maintain accurate, current records in the HR budget system.
- Ensure compliance with internal controls and audit requirements.
- Oversee end-to-end payroll operations across Southeast Asia and Oceania.
- Prepare and validate payroll variable reports covering new hires, resignations, and incentive payouts.
- Coordinate with the HR Shared Services Centre to ensure timely, accurate payroll processing.
- Ensure payroll bank files are reviewed and approved by relevant stakeholders.
- Lead HR system implementations and upgrades, including Time & Attendance and HR Cost Control.
- Collaborate with IT and external vendors to ensure system functionality and user adoption.
- Train and support HR and business users on system usage and enhancements.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business administration, or a related field.
- At least 5 years of experience in compensation and benefits, ideally in a retail or regional role.
- Strong analytical and financial acumen.
- Proven project management track record, especially in HR system implementation.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Integrity, adaptability, collaboration, and a customer-centric mindset.
