Balenciaga is seeking a Collection Fabric Buying Intern in Paris for a paid six-month internship, supporting fabric purchasing for men’s and women’s ready-to-wear collections and special projects. The role covers order tracking, fabric swatch control, approved fabric dispatches, PLM updates, and operational support.
Role & Responsibilities
- Support buyers with the day-to-day purchasing of fabrics for men’s and women’s ready-to-wear collections and special projects.
- Track collection orders daily and actively support shipments and deliveries.
- Receive and inspect fabric swatches.
- Send approved fabrics to the production team.
- Update collection purchasing tracking tools (PLM).
- Manage orders for checked fabric.
- Assist the team with daily operational tasks.
Qualifications
- Training in fashion, business, or textiles.
- Strong sensitivity to textile products and a solid understanding of fashion.
- Knowledge of fabrics gained through academic training or previous internships is appreciated.
- Responsive, proactive, and rigorous, with strong interpersonal and teamwork skills.
- Proficient in Pack Office; knowledge of a PLM system is an advantage.
- Good level of English.
- Available for a six-month paid internship.
