Balenciaga seeks a Collection Coordinator for Leather Goods in Paris to oversee handbag development from design to market launch.
Role & Responsibilities
- Ensure timely execution of leather goods collections in alignment with the creative direction and collection calendar
- Develop and monitor comprehensive design schedules for creative teams, ensuring adherence to project timelines
- Maintain consistency and coherence across product lines within the leather goods portfolio
- Track collection plans and merchandising objectives to meet strategic targets set by executive leadership
- Facilitate collaboration between design, development, and production teams, particularly with Italian manufacturing partners
- Conduct research and innovation monitoring for emerging materials, technologies, and production processes
- Identify and evaluate suppliers and manufacturers aligned with creative studio requirements
- Supervise prototype manufacturing to ensure compliance with budgets and delivery schedules
- Synthesize and document collection review meetings and decisions
Qualifications
- University or business school degree with strong product sensibility and fashion industry knowledge
- Minimum one year of professional experience within a Development department in luxury retail or high jewelry
- Fluent English proficiency
- Advanced Excel proficiency
- Proficiency with standard office software and information management systems
- Exceptional organizational skills with demonstrated ability to centralize and manage information
- Self-directed approach with strong initiative, autonomy, and attention to detail
- Proficiency in French and/or Italian highly desirable
