Balenciaga is hiring an Associate Store Manager in Berlin — lead boutique operations, clienteling and sales to drive performance and grow high-value relationships.
Role & Responsibilities
- Support the Store Manager in leading the boutique to achieve and exceed sales, KPIs and qualitative targets, acting as the Store Manager’s representative when required.
- Drive business development through proactive client acquisition and retention, cultivation of local and international networks (including VIC/VVIC clients), and optimisation of sales metrics such as conversion rate and UPT.
- Oversee day-to-day floor operations: staff allocation, visual merchandising and display execution, client service standards and omnichannel execution.
- Attract, develop and retain retail talent: coach and motivate the sales team, manage training completion, and create a positive workplace aligned with Balenciaga behaviours.
- Ensure compliance with legal, safety, security, HR and sustainability requirements and execute Retail Excellence guidelines.
- Support inventory and back-of-house management, including warehouse stock control and continuous process improvement to increase efficiency.
Qualifications
- Significant experience in store management and team leadership within luxury retail, with a proven track record of meeting sales targets and KPIs.
- Existing customer portfolio with strong local market knowledge and established relationships with high-value clients.
- Fluent spoken and written German and English.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, service orientation, persuasive communication and a strong sense of responsibility.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-volume environment and able to drive and implement process improvements.
Skills
Experience
Substantial experience in luxury retail operations with prior responsibility for team management, floor leadership and P&L-related KPIs. Proven success building client relationships, managing high-value clientele and operating in a fast-paced boutique environment.
Education
Secondary education completed; tertiary qualification in business, retail management, fashion or a related discipline preferred.
