Balenciaga seeks an Associate Store Director in Vancouver (Alberni Street) to lead store operations, drive sales and elevate client experience.
Role & Responsibilities
- Support the Store Director in daily store leadership, including floor coverage, visual merchandising, display standards and delivering Balenciaga’s signature client experience.
- Lead and coach Department Managers and sales teams to achieve quantitative sales targets and qualitative KPIs; translate HQ action plans into store activity and ensure follow-up.
- Monitor and analyze sales performance (daily, weekly, monthly), share results with the team and produce actionable reports for the Store Director and HQ.
- Own clienteling and loyalty initiatives: supervise NPS/CEE monitoring, develop retention strategies for customers from new clients to VIC/VVIC segments, and manage escalated client complaints.
- Manage operational processes: opening/closing, inventory and warehouse control, petty cash and reconciliations, scheduling, payroll processing as directed, and compliance with legal/safety/security standards.
- Maintain the store image to brand standards and ensure teams have the resources and training required to deliver retail excellence.
- Identify local market dynamics and competition; build and maintain a network of local and international luxury stakeholders to strengthen client relationships.
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of managerial experience with responsibility for a team of at least 10 people.
- Proven sales leadership within the luxury retail sector with demonstrable achievement of targets and KPIs.
- Track record of coaching, developing and retaining retail talent; ability to set objectives, delegate and follow through on results.
- Strong organizational aptitude, attention to detail, adaptability, and excellent interpersonal skills.
- High availability and responsiveness with a strong service orientation and sensitivity to luxury client expectations.
Skills
Experience
Significant luxury retail experience with at least three years in a managerial role overseeing a team of ten or more, including responsibility for sales targets, team development and store operations.
Education
Post-secondary diploma or degree in business, retail management, fashion or a related field preferred; equivalent professional experience in luxury retail will be considered.
