Balenciaga Associate Store Director position in Toronto. Lead store operations, client experience, and team development.
Role & Responsibilities
- Oversee floor coverage, sales performance, visual merchandising, displays, client service, and operational functions within the store in support of the Store Director
- Analyze daily, weekly, and monthly results, establish ongoing performance assessments, and provide comprehensive reports to headquarters
- Communicate performance data and insights to the store team and support Department Managers in achieving quantitative and qualitative goals
- Monitor the local business environment and competitive landscape, providing strategic feedback to the Store Director
- Lead Department Managers in implementing action plans defined by headquarters, ensuring consistent follow-up and accountability
- Create and maintain a positive work environment that reflects Balenciaga brand behaviors and values
- Support team development through morning briefings, one-on-one meetings, and ongoing coaching on sales techniques and luxury service standards
- Assist the Store Director in managing team and individual performance, addressing employee issues, and conducting talent retention initiatives
- Oversee the clienteling approach and ensure consistent execution of Balenciaga Signature and exceptional client experience standards
- Monitor Customer Experience and Net Promoter Score (CEE/NPS) metrics and implement corrective actions as needed
- Develop client relationships and loyalty programs, from entry-level clients through VIC (Very Important Client) and VVIC segments
- Ensure compliance with legal, safety, security, sustainability, and HR requirements across all store operations
- Manage store opening and closing procedures, inventory reconciliation, petty cash handling, and payroll administration
- Maintain accurate customer database entries and oversee Retail Excellence guidelines execution
- Oversee inventory management activities, warehouse stock verification, and reporting discrepancies to the Operations Manager
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of managerial experience supervising a team of at least 10 people
- Significant and proven sales experience in the luxury retail sector
- Demonstrated ability to set clear goals, delegate effectively, and follow up on results
- Strong sensitivity to client experience and loyalty initiatives
- Advanced organizational skills, adaptability, and listening abilities
- High availability and responsiveness to changing priorities
- Deep product and fashion industry knowledge and sensitivity
- Proficiency with digital tools and retail management systems
- Exceptional interpersonal and client service skills

At least 5 years of proven managerial experience in a supervisory capacity overseeing a team of minimum 10 people, combined with significant sales experience in luxury retail.
