Balenciaga (Beverly Center, Los Angeles) seeks a Temporary Associate Store Director to lead sales, clienteling and store operations.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Support the Store Director in overseeing day-to-day store operations, including opening/closing procedures, security, safety and compliance with internal and legal requirements.
  • Lead Department Managers and the sales team to achieve quantitative and qualitative targets, monitor KPIs and implement HQ-defined action plans with rigorous follow-up.
  • Manage clienteling and VIP relationship development to drive loyalty, retention and high-quality customer experiences; monitor CEE and NPS scores and deploy corrective actions.
  • Supervise visual merchandising, store atmosphere and Retail Excellence standards to ensure consistent brand presentation and client service.
  • Own operational processes including payroll processing, staff scheduling, petty cash and check reconciliation, inventory and warehouse management, and reporting to HQ.
  • Analyze sales and operational results (daily, weekly, monthly), prepare and deliver clear assessments and actionable feedback to the Store Director and store team.
  • Attract, develop and retain talent: conduct morning briefs, one-to-ones, performance follow-up and share development plans with leadership and Operations Manager.
  • Maintain a cost-conscious approach to initiatives and expense decisions in order to protect the store’s profitability and compliance with company guidelines.

Qualifications

  • Minimum three years' experience in a managerial role with responsibility for at least 10 direct reports.
  • Proven track record of significant sales performance within the luxury retail sector.
  • Demonstrated ability to set targets, delegate effectively and follow up to achieve measurable results.
  • Strong client focus with sensitivity to delivering a high-quality, branded customer experience and building VIP relationships.
  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational and problem-solving skills; adaptability and responsiveness in a fast-paced retail environment.
  • Digital proficiency sufficient to manage CRM/client data entry and use retail reporting tools.

Experience

At least three years in a managerial position within luxury retail, including hands-on responsibility for a sales team and proven success in driving sales, KPIs and client loyalty.

Education

High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree in Business, Fashion, Retail Management or a related discipline preferred.
