Balenciaga in London seeks an Associate Store Director to lead teams, drive sales and deliver exceptional luxury client experiences.
Role & Responsibilities
- Lead Department Managers and the store sales team to achieve and exceed sales targets and key performance indicators (sales density, conversion rate, UPT, cross‑selling, transactions).
- Act as deputy for the Store Director, overseeing floor coverage, visual merchandising, client service standards and daily retail operations.
- Develop and sustain high‑value client relationships; drive clienteling, loyalty and retention programs from new clients to VIC/VVIC segments.
- Coach, recruit and retain talent; create a motivated, competent team up to date with luxury and fashion market trends and product knowledge.
- Ensure compliance with legal, safety, security, HR and sustainability requirements and execute Retail Excellence guidelines consistently.
- Manage inventory activities and warehouse stock in collaboration with the Store Director; improve processes to enhance efficiency and scalability.
- Build and maintain productive relationships with internal and external stakeholders to maximise commercial opportunities and operational efficiency.
- Champion the Balenciaga brand in‑store and externally, ensuring signature client experiences and brand behaviours are consistently delivered.
Qualifications
- Proven managerial experience with responsibility for a multi‑functional retail team.
- Demonstrable sales leadership in the luxury retail sector with a track record of meeting quantitative and qualitative objectives.
- Proven ability to recruit, develop and retain talent and to motivate teams to high performance.
- Strong clienteling and interpersonal skills with high sensitivity to luxury client experience and retention.
- Organised, adaptable and results‑oriented with a proactive mindset and high availability to respond to store needs.
Skills
Experience
Sustained, proven experience in a managerial role within luxury retail, including direct responsibility for sales performance and team leadership. Prior success driving KPIs and developing client loyalty is essential.
Education
Bachelor's degree in business, fashion, retail management or a related field preferred; equivalent professional experience in luxury retail will be considered.
