Balenciaga is hiring an Assistant Store Manager in Metzingen, Germany to lead sales, teams and clienteling for the boutique.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Lead the in-store sales team and deputise for the Store Manager to achieve and exceed sales, conversion and other KPIs.
  • Drive business development by cultivating strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to maximise commercial opportunities.
  • Oversee daily store operations including floor coverage, visual merchandising, client service standards and inventory control.
  • Promote and deliver the Balenciaga client experience and clienteling practices to grow loyalty among local, VIC and VVIC clients.
  • Recruit, develop and retain talent; create a motivated, fashion-forward team aligned with Balenciaga behaviours.
  • Ensure compliance with legal, safety, security, HR and sustainability guidelines and execute Retail Excellence standards.
  • Support omnichannel initiatives and CRM usage to optimise customer relationship management and back-of-house processes.
  • Monitor and act on performance metrics (sales density, conversion rate, UPT, cross-sell, transactions, team productivity).

Qualifications

  • Significant experience in luxury retail, including proven responsibility for team management and store operations.
  • Demonstrable track record of meeting sales targets and managing KPIs in a fast-paced retail environment.
  • Established local customer portfolio and knowledge of the Metzingen market.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, strong listening ability, persuasive customer-service orientation and high sense of responsibility.
  • Fluent in German and English.
  • Good command of IT tools and retail systems; familiarity with CRM and omnichannel operations.

Experience

Minimum three years of experience in luxury retail, including at least one year in a supervisory or assistant manager capacity; proven ability to develop teams and deliver commercial results.

Education

Vocational qualification in retail or fashion, or equivalent professional experience; bachelor's degree in business, fashion or a related discipline preferred.
