Balenciaga seeks Assistant Manager, HR Business Partner in Singapore to lead retail recruitment and HR support across Southeast Asia. Full-time position reporting to Senior HR Manager, SEAO.
Role & Responsibilities
- Partner with Retail Directors, Area Managers, Store Managers and Corporate stakeholders across Singapore, Malaysia and Thailand to provide proactive HR advice and strategic support aligned with business performance and organisational objectives
- Lead end-to-end recruitment for Retail positions across three markets, developing recruitment strategies, managing candidate pipelines, conducting competency-based assessments and ensuring alignment with Balenciaga's brand values and culture
- Proactively source and build luxury retail talent pipelines through direct sourcing, networking and market mapping to support ongoing and future hiring needs across Singapore, Malaysia and Thailand
- Drive the annual performance management cycle including objective setting, performance reviews, calibration and career development planning; support talent identification and succession planning to strengthen organisational capability
- Provide day-to-day HR advisory support on employee relations matters including performance management, disciplinary actions, investigations, grievances, attendance management and policy interpretation
- Manage employee lifecycle processes including onboarding, probation, transfers, promotions, contract changes and offboarding while maintaining accurate records in Workday
- Support managers in resolving employee issues through practical, commercially balanced and legally compliant HR solutions, coaching managers on performance improvement and development planning
- Coordinate learning, recognition and wellbeing activities; support the planning and execution of employee engagement initiatives that reinforce Balenciaga's culture and values across Southeast Asian markets
- Monitor recruitment metrics, maintain accurate data within Workday and provide regular hiring updates and market insights to stakeholders
- Participate in regional and global HR projects, process improvements and change management initiatives to enhance employee experience and organisational effectiveness
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or a related discipline
- Minimum 5–7 years of progressive HR experience within luxury retail, fashion or premium retail industry with strong exposure to HR Business Partnering and Talent Acquisition
- Proven experience managing full-cycle Retail recruitment across multiple Southeast Asian markets
- Demonstrated experience partnering with business leaders to provide HR advisory, talent management and employee relations support
- Strong understanding of employment legislation and HR practices in Singapore, Malaysia and Thailand
- Experience handling employee relations matters including performance management, investigations, disciplinary processes and workplace issues
- Experience using HRIS and applicant tracking systems; Workday experience is highly advantageous

The ideal candidate demonstrates proven expertise in full-cycle retail recruitment across multiple Southeast Asian markets, with substantial experience in HR Business Partnering, talent management and employee relations.
