Balenciaga seeks an Accounts Payable and General Ledger Accountant (Fixed-term) in Paris. Finance role managing client accounts and financial close.
Role & Responsibilities
- Prepare and issue invoices for group and third-party clients
- Record and monitor client cash receipts and reconcile payment accounts
- Reconcile client accounts, revenue accounts, and ancillary revenue streams
- Monitor and collect outstanding receivables
- Execute monthly close procedures, including inter-company reconciliations, account justifications, and provision determinations
- Prepare standard journal entries, including bank reconciliations and statutory entries outside of closing periods
- Process cut-off entries, provisions, and account reclassifications
- Review monthly account reconciliations and analyze account balances
- Assist management with monthly financial reporting
- Prepare and file routine and mandatory tax declarations
- Prepare individual tax returns and annual financial statements for French entities in coordination with external auditors
- Maintain relationship with external auditors
- Participate in year-end annual close procedures
Qualifications
- Diploma in Accounting or Business Management (BTS in Comptabilité, Gestion, or DCG equivalent)
- Minimum two years of professional experience as an Accounts Receivable or General Ledger Accountant
- Advanced English language proficiency with ability to work in an international environment
- Proficiency in SAP and Microsoft Excel
- Highly organized, meticulous, and mindful of confidentiality protocols
- Knowledge of French tax requirements and filing procedures

Experience
Minimum two years of professional experience in accounts receivable or general ledger accounting roles within a corporate or multinational environment.
Education
BTS in Accounting (Comptabilité) or Business Management (Gestion), or DCG (Diplôme de Comptabilité et de Gestion) or equivalent qualification.
