Role & Responsibilities
- Open new salon accounts in accordance with agreed targets and brand guidelines, identifying and pursuing geographical growth opportunities
- Seek and secure new leads while developing and managing the new business pipeline to drive salon account expansion
- Increase sales volume and product mix in existing salon accounts through strategic relationship management and account optimization
- Organize salon owner meetings to communicate brand information, provide product training, and educate partners on Aveda services
- Collaborate with regional educators to build strong working relationships and establish clear communication channels with salon networks
- Achieve annual sales growth goals as set by the National Sales Manager through consistent account performance management
- Inspire and educate the salon network to fulfill the Aveda Salon Model, ensuring sustainable year-over-year business growth
- Plan and execute appropriate call cycles for the assigned region, implementing the full SDP Business Development Cycle at each salon visit
- Execute guest events and manage product launches on schedule, meeting penetration goals and retail productivity targets
- Oversee salon account inventory levels, identify top 20 products for each account, and establish performance targets
- Partner with Education Development Partners to ensure salon businesses maintain current product knowledge and participate in Aveda-sponsored education and promotions
- Manage all designated accounts with efficiency and professionalism, maintaining detailed records and reporting on business performance metrics
Qualifications
- 3+ years of retail or salon management experience within the cosmetics or beauty industry
- Demonstrated experience in retail and salon training and coaching
- Proven new business development experience with a track record of opening accounts and building partnerships
- Experience in strategic planning and execution within a sales or account management context
- Knowledge of contracting, negotiation, and relationship management
- Ability to develop and deliver presentations with passion and creativity
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
- Valid driver's license required for territory travel between salon locations
Skills
Experience
3+ years of retail or salon management experience within cosmetics or related beauty industry, with demonstrated expertise in training, coaching, and new business development. Experience with strategic planning, contract negotiation, and building sustainable salon partnerships required.
Education
High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor's degree preferred.
