Aveda is seeking a Salon Development Partner to grow existing salon partnerships and open new salon accounts across Montana and Spokane. The role drives account sales, retail productivity, education, and sustainable salon growth, and requires travel between salon locations. This is a full-time regular position with an anticipated base salary of $71,040–$106,560 annually, plus eligibility for a performance-based bonus.
Role & Responsibilities
- Open new salon accounts in line with agreed targets and Brand Guidelines.
- Identify geographic growth areas and monitor opportunities on an ongoing basis.
- Generate and secure leads, develop interest, and build a new-business pipeline.
- Grow sales volume and product mix in existing salon accounts in line with agreed targets and Brand Guidelines.
- Organize salon-owner meetings, communicate brand information, and train salon partners on Aveda products and services.
- Work with regional Educators to build mutually respectful working relationships and clear communication channels.
- Achieve the annual sales-growth goal set by the National Sales Manager.
- Inspire and educate salon partners to fulfill the Aveda Salon Model.
- Increase retail productivity across accounts and achieve new-launch penetration goals.
- Build strong relationships with salon owners and teams to implement Aveda programs and develop successful, sustainable salons that deliver year-over-year growth.
- Plan and execute an appropriate call cycle for the assigned region.
- Complete the SDP Business Development Cycle at every salon or spa visit.
- Plan and execute guest events.
- Sell in and sell through launches on schedule and achieve penetration goals.
- Manage designated accounts efficiently and productively.
- Monitor inventory levels in salon accounts, identify the top 20 products, and set targets.
- In partnership with Education Development Partners, keep salon businesses up to date on Aveda product knowledge, events, promotions, and signature services.
- Promote Aveda-sponsored education and increase attendance.
- Plan and deliver education using available resources across territories in conjunction with Education.
Qualifications
- Ideally 3 or more years of retail or salon management experience in cosmetics or a related industry.
- Retail or salon training and coaching experience.
- New-business development experience.
- Experience in strategic planning and execution.
- Knowledge of contracting and negotiating.
- Ability to develop and deliver presentations with passion and creativity.
- Excellent working knowledge of the Microsoft Suite of tools, including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
- Must hold a current driver’s license.
- Willingness to work a flexible schedule and travel between salon locations.

The base compensation for this position ranges from USD 71,040 to USD 106,560 per annum.
