Role & Responsibilities
- Open new salon accounts in accordance with agreed targets and Aveda brand guidelines
- Identify potential geographical areas for growth and monitor opportunities on an ongoing basis
- Seek and secure new leads and develop a robust new business pipeline
- Increase sales volume and product mix in existing salon accounts
- Organize salon owner meetings to communicate brand information and provide product and service training
- Build mutually respectful working relationships with regional educators and establish clear channels of communication
- Achieve annual sales growth goals set by the National Sales Manager
- Inspire and educate the salon network to fulfill the Aveda Salon Model
- Increase retail productivity in all accounts and reach new launch penetration goals
- Build strong relationships with salon owners and teams to implement Aveda programs and create sustainable salons delivering year-over-year growth
- Plan and execute appropriate call cycles for the assigned region
- Execute the SDP Business Development Cycle at each salon/spa visit
- Plan and execute effective guest events
- Sell-in and sell-through launches on time and meet penetration goals
- Manage designated accounts in an efficient and productive manner
- Oversee inventory levels with salon accounts; identify top 20 products and set targets
- Ensure salon businesses remain up to date with comprehensive Aveda product knowledge, events, promotions, and signature services in partnership with education development partners
- Promote Aveda-sponsored education and increase attendance
- Plan and execute education utilization programs using available resources across all territories
Qualifications
- Ideally 3+ years of retail or salon management experience within cosmetics or a related industry
- Retail or salon training and coaching experience
- New business development experience
- Experience in strategic planning and execution
- Knowledge of contracting and negotiation
- Ability to develop and deliver presentations with passion and creativity
- Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
- Valid driver's license required for regional travel between salon locations
