Role & Responsibilities
- Perform clinical testing activities including shampooing, conditioning treatments, professional hair services, and hair color applications with precision and speed
- Execute testing profiles, applications, and evaluations following established protocols and documentation practices to ensure accurate results
- Maintain a clean and compliant salon environment in accordance with Minnesota Cosmetology State Board Laws and Rules
- Monitor panelists for adverse reactions or compliance issues and escalate concerns to the Salon Manager and Study Investigator
- Prepare patch tests, paperwork packets, and manage inventory tasks to support ongoing study activities
- Participate in the development and refinement of testing methodologies for hair evaluation and new product launches
- Collaborate with partners in hair care, marketing, color science, and education to support training, usage guidelines, and development techniques
- Respond to management requests and maintain a professional atmosphere conducive to research activities
Qualifications
- Proficient technical skills and professional hair service experience
- Proven expertise in hair color formulation and application; prior experience with Aveda Hair Color is advantageous
- Fundamental understanding of hair color theory and ability to assess natural starting level and tone
- Physical capacity to stand for prolonged periods while performing professional services
- Excellent customer communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency with computer and tablet applications including Microsoft Edge, Outlook, and Forms
- Cosmetologist Operator License required; Salon Manager License preferred

Experience
Associate degree in cosmetology or related field, or equivalent professional experience in hair care and beauty services
Education
Associate degree preferred; or equivalent professional experience in lieu of degree. Cosmetologist Operator License required.

Compensation
The base compensation for this position ranges from USD 21 to USD 26 per hour.
