Aveda seeks an Operations Mechanic for a full-time regular role supporting preventive maintenance, building repairs, equipment records, and safe operations across multiple campus buildings. The position pays $25–$32 per hour based on a 40-hour work week, with the range scaled accordingly, and may include commission or bonus plan participation; eligible employees may receive insurance, wellness and family support, retirement, education, and paid leave benefits.

Role & Responsibilities

• Prioritize repairs based on work assignments.
• Participate in preventive maintenance programs and procedures for facilities, including HVAC, fire systems, and door inspections.
• Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair existing door hardware and building-related systems.
• Assemble and relocate furniture and wire racks; install picture frames and shelves.
• Keep electronic records of facility preventive maintenance and repairs.
• Perform general repairs that do not require a specialized technician.
• Work independently or as part of a team.
• Follow Estée Lauder safety procedures and practices, including GMP and LOTO.
• Train new employees on Estée Lauder practices and procedures within the department.
• Apply a detailed approach to problem-solving for facilities equipment in buildings.
• Operate a company vehicle safely and handle its maintenance needs.
• Advise management on current inventory and requisition parts and supplies.
• Travel to multiple buildings within the campus.
• Assist management in evaluating new equipment installations and perform other assigned duties.

The base compensation for this position ranges from USD 25 to USD 32 per hour.
