Operations Mechanic at Aveda (Estée Lauder) in Blaine, MN. Maintain and repair manufacturing equipment; $28–$32/hr hourly.
Role & Responsibilities
- Monitor and modify equipment to ensure maximum productivity and quality are achieved
- Perform troubleshooting and repairs on manufacturing equipment including kettles, mixers, pumps, filling and packaging equipment
- Perform preventative maintenance on all manufacturing equipment
- Assist operators and fellow mechanics with equipment setups, operation, and troubleshooting challenges
- Maintain inventory of spare parts and maintenance records in CMMS
- Train operators on technical abilities and proper operation of equipment
- Perform installations and assist in validation of new equipment
- Perform general mechanical tasks to meet production and building needs
- Coordinate with vendors and contractors on quotes and project work
Qualifications
- Two or more years of college or technical school education in maintenance or related field
- One to three years of experience in industrial maintenance or mechanical field
- General mechanical knowledge including troubleshooting and repairing gearboxes, motors, pumps, bearings, and pneumatics
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and multi-tasking skills
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs
- Good understanding of measurement units and basic mathematics
- Computer proficiency and ability to work with electronically controlled machinery and equipment
Skills
Experience
One to three years of experience in industrial maintenance or mechanical field preferred; demonstrated ability to handle multiple priorities and work in a regulated manufacturing environment compliant with cGMP standards.
Education
Two or more years of college or technical school education in maintenance, mechanical engineering, or a related field.

The successful candidate will be located in Blaine, Minnesota, USA, with easy access to Minneapolis.
Compensation
The base compensation for this position ranges from USD 28 to USD 32 per hour.
