Aveda is seeking a part-time Key Holder in Ottawa to support the Store Manager and Assistant Manager, coach the sales team, reconcile cash, and open and close the store on a rota basis. The role suits an ambitious retail professional seeking a first supervisory opportunity; anticipated base salary is CAD 19.40–21.00, based on a 40-hour work week and scaled accordingly.
Role & Responsibilities
- Support the Store Manager and Assistant Manager in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of the store.
- Lead by example through coaching and mentoring, modelling the behaviours expected of the sales team to deliver inspirational, authentic and personalized customer service and achieve sales and customer service targets.
- Perform start-of-day and end-of-day cash reconciliation.
- Open and close the store on a rota basis.
Qualifications
- Proven retail experience, preferably in cosmetics.
- Ability to provide inspirational, authentic and personalized customer service.
- Retail operations experience, including cash reconciliation and store opening and closing, is desirable but not essential.
- Previous supervisory experience, including coaching and mentoring others to achieve sales and customer service targets, is desirable.
- Ability to work retail hours, including days, nights, weekends and special events, in a fast-paced work environment.
- Previous experience with retail point-of-sale software.
- Must be able to provide proof of the right to live and work in Canada if invited to interview.

Previous retail experience; proven retail experience, preferably in cosmetics. Previous retail operations and supervisory experience are desirable.
