This part-time Key Holder role at Aveda supports the Store Manager and Assistant Manager in ensuring efficient store operations and exceptional customer service. The position encompasses coaching and mentoring the sales team to deliver personalized, authentic customer experiences while meeting sales and service targets. Key responsibilities include cash reconciliation, store opening and closing duties on a rotating basis, and retail operations support—ideal for an ambitious retail professional seeking their first supervisory experience within the prestige beauty sector.

Role & Responsibilities

• Coach and mentor sales team members to deliver inspirational, authentic, and personalized customer service
• Support Store Manager and Assistant Manager in overseeing daily store operations and performance
• Conduct opening and closing procedures on a rota basis, including cash reconciliation and register management
• Model desired sales behaviors and professional standards to inspire the team
• Assist in achieving sales targets and customer service objectives
• Manage retail point-of-sale systems and cash handling operations

Qualifications

• Proven retail experience, preferably within cosmetics or beauty
• Ability to provide inspirational, authentic, and personalized customer service
• Retail operations experience including cash reconciliation and store opening/closing (desirable)
• Previous supervisory or coaching/mentoring experience (desirable)
• Proficiency with retail point-of-sale software
• Ability to work retail hours including days, evenings, weekends, and special events

Skills

Experience

Proven retail experience, preferably within cosmetics or prestige beauty. Previous supervisory experience involving coaching and mentoring others to achieve sales and customer service targets is desirable. Experience with retail operations including cash reconciliation and store opening/closing procedures is also preferred.

Education

Compensation

The base compensation for this position ranges from USD 17.25 to USD 23 per hour.
