Aveda seeks a creative and personable Beauty Advisor to deliver inspirational, personalized in-store experiences that educate and delight customers. The successful candidate will combine technical makeup artistry expertise with exceptional customer service to drive sales and create memorable brand interactions. This part-time position involves participating in in-store events, maintaining visual merchandising standards, and working collaboratively within a high-performing retail team to achieve sales objectives in a fast-paced environment.

Role & Responsibilities

• Provide expertly executed makeup application and skincare consultations that educate customers and enhance their confidence
• Create welcoming, inspirational, and personalized in-store experiences that reflect Aveda's commitment to prestige beauty
• Develop and demonstrate product knowledge across the Aveda range, emphasizing the brand's wellness and sustainability ethos
• Participate actively in in-store events, promotions, and product launches to generate customer engagement and drive sales
• Maintain exceptional visual merchandising standards and store presentation to differentiate Aveda against competitors
• Process transactions accurately using retail point-of-sale systems and handle cash and card payments securely
• Collaborate with the retail team to achieve sales targets and contribute to a positive, high-performing store culture
• Work retail hours flexibly, including evenings, weekends, and special events as required

Qualifications

• Demonstrated creative and technical expertise in makeup application
• Ability to provide inspirational, authentic, and personalized customer service
• Capacity to work retail hours including days, evenings, weekends, and special events in a fast-paced environment
• Prior experience with retail point-of-sale systems
• Proof of right to live and work in the United States

Skills

Experience

Makeup artistry certification and/or previous retail makeup experience is preferred, though applications from candidates with amateur-level expertise who can demonstrate strong creative and technical capabilities are welcome.

Education

Makeup artistry certification or equivalent training is desirable but not required.
