Aveda seeks an inspirational and dynamic Assistant Store Manager to support the Store Manager in leading and coaching a team of Sales Associates toward achieving all sales, customer service, and operational targets. This role is ideal for an ambitious, high-performing retail professional with proven supervisory and coaching experience in a fast-paced environment and a passion for developing others to reach their full potential.
Role & Responsibilities
- Lead and coach the Sales Associate team to achieve all sales, customer service, and operational targets
- Support the Store Manager in day-to-day store operations and team management
- Develop and mentor Sales Associates to reach their full potential
- Manage retail operations including inventory management, stock levels, and cash reconciliation
- Ensure inspirational, authentic, and personalized customer service delivery
- Oversee point-of-sale transactions and retail compliance
- Work flex retail hours including evenings, weekends, and special events
Qualifications
- Proven retail experience preferably within cosmetics
- Previous supervisory experience with a demonstrated track record of coaching and mentoring others to achieve sales and customer service targets
- Retail operations experience including inventory management and cash reconciliation
- Ability to provide inspirational, authentic, and personalized customer service
- Experience with retail point-of-sale software
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Ability to work retail hours including days, nights, weekends, and special events
- Legal right to live and work in the United States
Skills
Experience
Proven supervisory and coaching experience in a fast-paced retail environment, preferably within cosmetics or prestige beauty. Demonstrated ability to lead and mentor Sales Associates to achieve sales and customer service targets. Prior experience in retail operations, including inventory management and cash reconciliation. Familiarity with retail point-of-sale software systems.
