Assistant Store Manager position at Aveda (Estée Lauder Companies) supporting the Store Manager to lead, coach, and develop sales associates to achieve sales, customer service, and operational targets in a fast-paced prestige beauty retail environment. Responsibilities include supervisory oversight, team coaching, inventory management, and cash reconciliation, with flexibility to work retail hours including evenings, weekends, and special events.
Role & Responsibilities
- Support the Store Manager in leading, coaching, and developing the Sales Associates team
- Achieve and exceed all sales, customer service, and operational targets
- Provide supervisory oversight of daily retail operations including inventory management and cash reconciliation
- Deliver inspirational, authentic, and personalized customer service to drive customer loyalty
- Coach and mentor team members to reach their full potential and achieve individual sales targets
- Manage retail floor operations during assigned shifts and special events
- Maintain compliance with retail policies, procedures, and financial controls
Qualifications
- Proven retail experience, preferably within cosmetics or prestige beauty
- Previous supervisory experience with a demonstrated track record of coaching and mentoring others
- Strong retail operations knowledge including inventory management and cash reconciliation
- Experience with retail point-of-sale software systems
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite
- Ability to work retail hours including days, evenings, weekends, and special events
- Proof of right to live and work in Canada
Skills
Experience
Proven supervisory and retail operations experience in a fast-paced retail environment. Demonstrated track record of coaching and mentoring sales associates to achieve sales and customer service targets. Prior experience in cosmetics or prestige beauty retail preferred.
Education
High school diploma or equivalent (preferred); additional retail management certification or cosmetics industry training is a plus.

Compensation
The base compensation for this position ranges from CAD 22 to CAD 25 per hour.
