Role & Responsibilities

  • Assemble, service and regulate mechanical movements to the maison’s technical and aesthetic standards, including cleaning, oiling and adjustment of components.
  • Diagnose faults and execute repairs on complications (e.g., chronographs, calendar mechanisms, tourbillons) with precision and attention to tolerances.
  • Perform timing and rate adjustments using timing machines (timegrapher) and micrometric measurement tools to ensure chronometric performance.
  • Execute delicate hand‑finishing, component polishing and assembly work consistent with haute horlogerie surface and aesthetic criteria.
  • Maintain detailed repair records and technical documentation for each timepiece, ensuring traceability and parts control.
  • Conduct quality control inspections at multiple production stages and approve completed watches for return to client or retail display.
  • Collaborate with after‑sales, client service and parts departments to prioritise repairs, manage turnaround times and support customer communication.
  • Mentor and train junior watchmakers and apprentices in bench techniques, standards and safety procedures.

Qualifications

  • Formal watchmaking qualification or equivalent vocational diploma (e.g., WOSTEP or similar) or completed apprenticeship in horology.
  • Minimum five years of professional experience in mechanical watch assembly and service within a luxury or precision environment.
  • Exceptional manual dexterity, steady hand and proven ability to work with microscopic components under magnification.
  • Thorough knowledge of mechanical movement architecture, lubrication regimes and escapement regulation.
