Role & Responsibilities
- Assemble, disassemble and recondition mechanical movements and modules with exacting tolerances.
- Regulate, time and adjust escapements, balance wheels and gear trains to factory timing specifications.
- Diagnose faults and perform complete servicing and repairs on contemporary and vintage movements, including complications.
- Execute fine finishing, polishing and aesthetic restoration consistent with maison standards.
- Document interventions, manage work orders and maintain traceability using atelier procedures.
- Collaborate with restoration, prototyping and quality-control teams to resolve technical issues and escalate parts requirements.
- Maintain cleanliness, calibration and preventive maintenance of atelier tools and micromechanical equipment.
Qualifications
- Vocational watchmaking diploma or equivalent (WOSTEP, BTS Horlogerie, CFC or similar).
- Proven expertise in mechanical calibres; experience with complications (chronograph, calendar, tourbillon) preferred.
- Excellent manual dexterity and visual acuity for micro-assembly work.
- Ability to read technical drawings and follow assembly instructions and service bulletins.
- Fluency in atelier quality and safety procedures; disciplined documentation habits.
Skills
Experience
At least 5 years of hands-on experience in high-end mechanical watchmaking or an equivalent precision micro-mechanics environment, with demonstrated competence servicing and regulating mechanical movements and complications.
Education
Watchmaking vocational qualification (e.g., WOSTEP, BTS Horlogerie, CFC) or equivalent technical diploma.
