Audemars Piguet Heritage Watchmaker Restorer position in Le Brassus, Switzerland. Restore historic timepieces and mentor apprentices in luxury watch conservation.
Role & Responsibilities
- Restore antique watches and heritage collection pieces to original condition, addressing both functional and aesthetic dimensions
- Prepare cost estimates and design or restore tooling and components required for the refurbishment of vintage timepieces
- Prepare heritage pieces for museum exhibitions and special displays
- Present the restoration workshop, historic watchmaking techniques, and conservation methods to museum visitors and at events throughout Switzerland and internationally
- Document restoration processes, work instructions, and best practices to ensure knowledge transmission
- Mentor apprentices and junior staff, transferring technical expertise within the workshop environment
Qualifications
- Diploma in Advanced Technician in Microtechnics (ES), specialized in watch restoration and complications, or equivalent qualification
- Significant professional experience in heritage watch restoration
- Exceptional dexterity and creative problem-solving ability
- Strong analytical skills with proven capability to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues
- Collaborative team player with calm demeanor and attentive communication style
- Demonstrated commitment to excellence in ultra-high-end watchmaking
- Proficiency in English (including technical terminology)
- Competency in Microsoft Office suite
