A leading Swiss watchmaker in Le Brassus is hiring a Retail Development Manager to lead store openings and retail projects.
Role & Responsibilities
- Lead end‑to‑end retail development projects including new store openings, renovations and concept roll‑outs across assigned regions.
- Define and manage project plans, timelines and critical path activities; coordinate internal stakeholders (retail, merchandising, visual merchandising, legal) and external partners (architects, general contractors, fit‑out houses).
- Prepare and control project budgets; manage tender processes, approve supplier selection and monitor cost to ensure financial objectives are met.
- Ensure full compliance with brand design standards, technical specifications and local regulatory requirements (permits, health & safety, accessibility).
- Oversee on‑site construction and fit‑out activities, conduct quality inspections and manage punch‑list close‑outs to guarantee timely, high‑quality delivery.
- Drive post‑opening evaluation and handover to retail operations, including snagging, warranty follow‑up and lessons‑learned documentation.
Qualifications
- Proven track record in retail development, store project management or construction management, preferably within luxury retail or watchmaking.
- Demonstrable experience managing multi‑disciplinary teams, contractors and international roll‑outs.
- Strong financial acumen with experience preparing budgets, cost control and tender evaluation.
- Excellent project planning and organisational skills; ability to manage concurrent projects and shifting priorities.
- Professional communication and stakeholder management skills with a results‑oriented mindset.

Experience
At least 5 years of progressive experience leading retail development or construction projects, with a preference for candidates who have delivered boutique openings or refurbishments for luxury brands across multiple markets.
Education
Bachelor's degree or equivalent in project management, architecture, engineering, construction management, business or a related discipline.
