Reporting to the Design Architect Manager within the Architecture & Design team, the Retail Designer develops concepts for Audemars Piguet points of sale and oversees projects from concept through delivery. The role coordinates stakeholders and safeguards design quality, budgets and schedules across luxury, hospitality and retail environments.
Role & Responsibilities
- Collaborate with internal architects to develop creative concepts for different points of sale in line with the brand identity, strategy and established procedures.
- Contribute to the creative direction of projects and oversee their development through delivery, coordinating stakeholders and ensuring schedules, budgets and brand design standards are respected.
- Define the creative vision for new projects with the Store Design Planning team.
- Develop innovative, elegant and timeless concepts for hospitality, luxury and retail environments.
- Translate functional requirements and brand identity into coherent, distinctive spatial experiences.
- Create and present design concepts using mood boards, visual presentations and 3D sketches.
- Develop projects from concept through implementation.
- Work with internal teams, external partners and suppliers to preserve the design intent.
- Lead projects to meet quality objectives, budgets, schedules and deadlines.
- Select furniture, lighting, materials and finishes, ensuring aesthetic, technical and budgetary coherence.
- Monitor trends, materials, innovations and market developments.
Qualifications
- Degree or equivalent training in interior architecture, interior design or architecture.
- At least 7 years of experience in interior design, concept creation and high-end project development, ideally in an international environment.
- Experience in retail and/or luxury is preferred.
- Excellent design knowledge and strong aesthetic sensibility applied to commercial, hospitality and premium spaces.
- Good knowledge of FF&E, furniture, materials, finishes and innovative market solutions.
- Fluent in French and English, written and spoken.

Experience
At least 7 years in interior design, concept creation and high-end project development, ideally in an international environment; retail and/or luxury experience preferred.
Education
Training in interior architecture, interior design, architecture or equivalent.
Workplace
The role is situated in Le Brassus, Vaud, Switzerland — conveniently close to Lausanne.
