Role & Responsibilities

  • Set and execute the regional HR strategy for Greater China (Mainland China, Hong Kong & Macau) aligned with global people priorities and local business objectives.
  • Act as strategic HR partner to regional business leaders and the executive committee to drive organisation design, workforce planning and talent strategies.
  • Lead and develop an HR leadership team (HR Business Partners, Talent Acquisition, L&D, Compensation & Benefits and Employee Relations) across the region.
  • Design and implement talent acquisition, retention and succession programmes for critical leadership and commercial roles.
  • Oversee compensation and benefits strategy and market positioning; ensure pay equity and alignment with global frameworks while adapting to local market practices.
  • Ensure compliance with local employment legislation and lead employment-law risk mitigation across Mainland China, Hong Kong and Macau.
  • Drive leadership development, performance management, learning initiatives and culture-change programmes to support business transformation.
  • Own HR analytics, workforce reporting and people metrics to inform executive decision-making and track progress against KPIs.
  • Lead employee engagement, EVP and employer-brand initiatives to attract top-tier talent in luxury retail and corporate functions.
  • Partner on integration activities for acquisitions, restructures and major programmes of change; manage external advisors where necessary.

Qualifications

  • Proven regional HR leadership experience in Greater China, ideally within luxury fashion, premium retail or a related consumer-goods environment.
  • Track record of leading HR teams and partnering with senior executives in a matrixed, multi-jurisdictional organisation.
  • Deep practical knowledge of employment law and HR practices across Mainland China, Hong Kong and Macau.
  • Strong commercial acumen with the ability to translate business strategy into people actions and measurable outcomes.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills; experience advising executive committees and boards.
  • Demonstrated experience in talent management, succession planning, compensation strategy and large-scale change programmes.
  • Advanced written and verbal communication skills; governance and risk-awareness in HR operations.
