Role & Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain the master production schedule to meet customer demand, delivery commitments and inventory targets.
- Drive material requirements planning (MRP) and sequence jobs across assembly, machining and finishing operations to optimise throughput and capacity utilisation.
- Coordinate daily production priorities with shopfloor supervisors, quality teams and procurement to resolve bottlenecks and expedite critical orders.
- Monitor production KPIs (lead time, on-time delivery, WIP, capacity utilisation) and implement corrective actions to achieve targets.
- Manage order releases, routings and work instructions in the ERP/MRP system and ensure data integrity for production orders and bills of materials.
- Liaise with suppliers and subcontractors to secure component availability and align lead times with internal schedules.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives (lean, 5S, Kanban) to reduce waste and improve flow in the manufacturing process.
- Prepare regular capacity and short-term planning reports for senior operations management and participate in weekly planning reviews.
Qualifications
- Degree or diploma in industrial engineering, mechanical engineering, logistics, supply chain or a relevant technical discipline, or equivalent vocational qualification.
- Proven experience in production planning/scheduling within precision manufacturing, ideally in watchmaking or micro-mechanical assembly.
- Hands-on experience with MRP/ERP systems (implementation and daily use) and strong numerical/analytical capability.
- Practical understanding of shopfloor processes, routings and constraints common to assembly- and component-oriented production.
- Demonstrable skills in problem solving, prioritisation and cross-functional communication in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Mid-level candidate with typically 3–7 years of hands-on production planning or scheduling experience in precision manufacturing; prior exposure to watchmaking processes is highly advantageous.
Education
Bachelor's degree or technical diploma in industrial/mechanical engineering, logistics, supply chain management, or equivalent vocational qualification.
