Role & Responsibilities

  • Develop, maintain and execute the master production schedule to ensure on-time delivery of finished goods.
  • Translate demand forecasts and orders into detailed production plans, balancing capacity, takt times and constraints.
  • Perform materials requirement planning (MRP) and coordinate with purchasing to secure timely component availability.
  • Collaborate closely with workshop managers, quality, sourcing and logistics to resolve bottlenecks and expedite critical orders.
  • Monitor and report planning KPIs (OTD, inventory turns, backlog, lead times); initiate corrective actions and continuous improvement projects.
  • Manage short-term scheduling and shop-floor sequencing to optimise throughput and minimise work-in-progress.
  • Support S&OP processes and participate in cross-functional production reviews and change-control boards.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in supply chain, industrial engineering, manufacturing management or related discipline.
  • Proven knowledge of production planning methodologies (MPS/MRP), capacity planning and inventory control.
  • Strong analytical aptitude with experience using planning metrics to shape decisions and improvements.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with experience liaising between production, procurement, quality and external suppliers.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a high-precision manufacturing environment and manage competing priorities.
