Role & Responsibilities
- Develop, implement and maintain occupational health and safety policies, procedures and internal standards aligned with Swiss legislation and industry best practices (e.g., ISO 45001 frameworks).
- Conduct site risk assessments, safety inspections and hazard analyses across production workshops, laboratories and support facilities; propose and follow up corrective measures.
- Lead incident and near‑miss investigations, perform root‑cause analysis, produce formal reports and track remediation actions to closure.
- Design, deliver and evaluate health & safety training programmes and inductions for production personnel, supervisors and new hires.
- Manage personal protective equipment (PPE) programmes, permit-to-work systems and emergency response planning (evacuation, first aid, fire safety).
- Maintain safety records, generate KPIs and periodic compliance reports for management; liaise with internal stakeholders to drive continuous improvement.
- Coordinate with external authorities, occupational-health providers and third‑party auditors as required for inspections, certifications and reporting.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or diploma in occupational health, safety engineering, environmental health, industrial hygiene or a related technical discipline — or equivalent professional experience.
- Formal certification in occupational health & safety (e.g., ISO 45001 lead implementer/auditor, NEBOSH, or equivalent) preferred.
- Sound knowledge of Swiss OHS legislation, cantonal requirements and practical experience applying regulations within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to train, influence and advise operational teams and senior management.
- Valid first aid certification and familiarity with emergency response protocols preferred.

Minimum of 3–5 years' professional experience in occupational health and safety, preferably within industrial manufacturing or precision engineering environments; experience in luxury watchmaking or small-series manufacturing is an advantage.
Education
Bachelor's degree or technical diploma in occupational health and safety, safety engineering, industrial hygiene, environmental health, or equivalent professional experience.
