Leading luxury house seeks Logistics Specialist in Seoul — manage 3PL, customs, inventory and distribution for a luxury fashion brand.
Role & Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end logistics operations for the Korean market, including inbound imports, domestic distribution and outbound shipments to wholesale and retail channels.
- Coordinate and supervise third‑party logistics providers (3PLs), freight forwarders and carriers to ensure timely, cost‑effective transport and high standards of product handling.
- Oversee customs clearance, import/export compliance and documentation in collaboration with customs brokers and legal teams.
- Maintain accurate inventory records through regular reconciliation, stock audits and close collaboration with merchandising and store teams.
- Develop and monitor logistics KPIs (lead times, OTIF, freight spend, inventory accuracy) and produce regular reports for senior management.
- Drive continuous improvement of logistics SOPs, implement best practices for packing, labelling and return/repair flows specific to luxury goods.
- Control logistics costs through rate negotiation, route optimisation and consolidation strategies while safeguarding product quality.
- Liaise cross‑functionally with merchandising, retail operations, e‑commerce and finance to align supply plans and resolve shipment exceptions.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business Administration or a closely related field; advanced degree preferred.
- Proven executive‑level experience in supply chain/logistics within fashion, luxury goods or high‑value retail (typically 7+ years).
- Demonstrable experience managing 3PL partners, freight forwarders and customs processes in an international environment.
- Strong analytical capability with experience setting and reporting logistics KPIs and driving cost‑saving initiatives.
- Track record of implementing or optimising WMS/TMS/ERP logistics modules and formalising SOPs for premium product handling.
- Excellent stakeholder management and negotiation skills; ability to work across commercial, operations and compliance functions.
