Confidential Luxury Group — IT Specialist in Tokyo. Responsible for enterprise systems, user support and infrastructure operations.
Role & Responsibilities
- Provide day-to-day desktop, laptop and mobile device support for corporate and retail users across the Tokyo region.
- Administer and maintain Windows Server infrastructure, Active Directory, Group Policy and Microsoft 365 services.
- Operate and monitor virtualisation platforms (VMware), backup solutions and endpoint management (SCCM or equivalent).
- Troubleshoot network, connectivity and telephony issues in collaboration with network vendors and internal teams.
- Manage incident and request workflows using an ITSM platform (e.g., ServiceNow); ensure SLAs are met and escalations are handled promptly.
- Implement and support security controls and patch management in partnership with InfoSec stakeholders.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams and external suppliers for hardware procurement, rollouts and IT projects (store openings, system upgrades).
- Maintain accurate technical documentation, runbooks and asset inventories; contribute to business continuity and disaster recovery plans.
- Provide occasional after-hours or on-call support for critical incidents and project cutovers as required.
Qualifications
- Proven experience administering Windows Server, Active Directory and Microsoft 365 in an enterprise environment.
- Solid understanding of networking principles (TCP/IP, VLANs, routing) and hands-on experience with Cisco or equivalent hardware.
- Experience with virtualisation (VMware vSphere) and backup/DR solutions.
- Familiarity with endpoint management (SCCM/Intune) and automation using PowerShell or equivalent scripting.
- Experience using ITSM tools (ServiceNow, Jira Service Management) for ticket handling and change management.
- Strong customer-service orientation with ability to communicate technical issues to non-technical stakeholders.
- Relevant professional certifications (e.g., Microsoft, VMware, CompTIA) preferred.

Experience
3–5 years supporting enterprise IT environments, ideally within retail, luxury or multi-site organisations; demonstrable experience in systems administration, desktop support and infrastructure projects.
Education
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent professional experience.
