Overview

Role & Responsibilities

  • Manage end‑to‑end import and export operations, including booking shipments, arranging carriers (air/sea/road) and tracking transit until delivery.
  • Prepare and validate export/import documentation: commercial invoices, packing lists, certificates of origin, customs declarations and any required licences.
  • Ensure full compliance with Swiss and international customs, export controls and sanctions regimes; apply correct HS codes and Incoterms.
  • Coordinate with freight forwarders, customs brokers and couriers to expedite clearances, resolve exceptions and optimise costs.
  • Liaise with internal stakeholders (production, purchasing, after‑sales, finance) to align logistics timelines and inventory flows.
  • Maintain accurate transactional records in ERP and customs systems and support internal and external audits.
  • Analyse shipping performance and costs, propose improvements to routing, consolidation and documentation processes.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or diploma in international trade, logistics, supply chain management or equivalent vocational training.
  • Minimum 3 years’ professional experience in import/export coordination or customs operations; luxury goods or manufacturing environments preferred.
  • Practical knowledge of Swiss customs procedures, HS classification and Incoterms 2020.
  • Proven track record liaising with freight forwarders, customs brokers and international carriers.

Experience

Education

Bachelor’s degree or vocational diploma in logistics, international trade, supply chain or related discipline; professional customs certification advantageous.
