Role & Responsibilities

  • Manage day-to-day HR administration including employee records, contracts, and HRIS data integrity.

  • Coordinate onboarding, offboarding and orientation processes for new hires across retail and corporate functions.
  • Ensure local compliance with Japanese labour law and internal HR policies; prepare documentation for audits and inspections.
  • Provide HR support to managers and employees on routine queries (leave, benefits, employment terms) and escalate complex cases to HR Business Partners.
  • Prepare HR reports and operational metrics; identify process efficiencies and contribute to HR projects and system implementations.

Qualifications

  • 2–4 years of progressive HR administrative experience, preferably within retail, luxury goods or a fast-moving consumer environment.
  • Demonstrable knowledge of Japanese labour law and employment regulations.
  • Practical experience with payroll processes and HRIS platforms (experience with Workday, SAP SuccessFactors or similar is advantageous).
  • Strong organisational skills, attention to detail and the ability to manage confidential information with discretion.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication and stakeholder-management skills; ability to work cross-functionally in a matrixed organisation.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
