Confidential Swiss watchmaker in Meyrin, Switzerland seeks an Experienced Polisher for precision finishing of watch components.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Perform hand and machine polishing of watch components and small metal parts to achieve mirror and satin finishes consistent with luxury quality standards.
  • Operate and maintain polishing lathes, buffing machines and finishing benches; select and apply abrasives, polishing pastes and compounds.
  • Interpret surface-finish specifications and technical drawings to deliver finishes within tight tolerances and aesthetic requirements.
  • Conduct microscopic and visual inspection of finished parts; identify and rectify surface defects and ensure conformance to quality checkpoints.
  • Collaborate with plating, assembly and quality teams to sequence processes and resolve finishing issues.
  • Maintain work area, tools and consumables to meet clean-room or atelier hygiene and safety protocols.
  • Document production data, times and quality observations; escalate recurring non-conformities and suggest process improvements.
  • Meet daily production targets while preserving craftsmanship and minimizing material waste.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in polishing or surface finishing within luxury watchmaking, jewelry, or precision metal industries.
  • Exceptional manual dexterity, visual acuity and attention to micro-level detail.
  • Knowledge of polishing abrasives, compounds (e.g., diamond paste) and surface treatments for steels and precious metals.
  • Familiarity with polishing machinery and basic preventive maintenance.
  • Commitment to quality, patience for repetitive precision work and the ability to work within a small-team atelier environment.
