Reporting to the Core Infrastructure Manager, the Database Domain Lead owns the Database domain and shapes its long-term technology vision, leading strategy, critical platform performance, security and evolution, as well as an expert team and ambitious digital transformation roadmap. This full-time role also oversees service-provider governance, budgets, suppliers, contracts and end-to-end support.
Role & Responsibilities
- Define and drive the Database domain strategy in alignment with the Group’s IT direction.
- Ensure database platform availability, performance and security.
- Oversee business continuity, backup and disaster recovery plans.
- Lead environment modernization and technology obsolescence management.
- Build and monitor a multi-year roadmap covering performance, security and industrialization.
- Support and develop a team of Database experts.
- Define domain standards, processes and best practices.
- Oversee technical projects related to data platforms.
- Manage the budget, suppliers and contracts within the role’s scope.
- Lead the technical governance of the managed service provider and end-to-end support for the domain.
- Work closely with Infrastructure, Applications and Data teams to support the Group’s business needs.
Qualifications
- Substantial experience in Database environments, gained in complex settings where availability, performance and security are critical.
- Demonstrated ability to unite, support and develop technical teams toward excellence.
- Strategic vision to anticipate technological developments and build high-value roadmaps.
- Experience managing critical infrastructure, with particular attention to resilience, business continuity and cybersecurity.
- Pragmatic project management approach combining strategic thinking with operational execution.
- Ability to collaborate comfortably with a range of technical, business and executive stakeholders.
- Commitment to continuous improvement, process simplification and service optimization.
- User-centric approach.
- At least 5 years of experience managing technical teams, with a genuine interest in talent development and creating a collaborative work environment.
- Excellent French communication skills, with the ability to work in an international English-speaking environment.
