Role & Responsibilities
- Define, operate and continuously improve configuration management and IT asset management processes across the IT estate, ensuring full lifecycle control from procurement to disposal.
- Govern and maintain the Configuration Management Database (CMDB), ensuring data quality, reconciliation with discovery sources and alignment to service relationships.
- Deploy and manage discovery, inventory and reconciliation routines to provide accurate, auditable asset and configuration data for compliance and financial reporting.
- Partner with infrastructure, endpoints, security and application teams to embed configuration baselines, change controls and release processes that minimise operational risk.
- Design and deliver reporting and dashboards for asset owners, finance and service teams; provide analytical insights to optimise total cost of ownership.
- Lead or contribute to tool selection, implementation and integrations that support ITAM/CMDB capabilities and automate manual workflows.
- Establish governance, policies and KPIs for configuration and asset management; drive training and adoption across technical and business stakeholders.
- Act as subject-matter expert for audits, internal reviews and continuous improvement initiatives related to configuration and asset records.
Qualifications
- Proven track record in configuration management and IT asset management (ITAM) within a complex IT environment.
- Demonstrable experience owning or governing a CMDB and associated discovery/inventory processes.
- Solid understanding of ITIL practices related to configuration, change, release and asset lifecycle management.
- Strong analytical skills with experience delivering reconciliation, reporting and data-quality improvement programs.
- Ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders and lead process adoption across technical and business teams.

Experience
Mid-senior level professional with substantial hands-on experience (typically 5+ years) in configuration and asset management within enterprise IT environments; experience in regulated, manufacturing or luxury goods environments is advantageous.
Education
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering or equivalent professional experience.
