Role & Responsibilities
- Supervise daily accounts payable operations, including invoice receipt, validation, coding and timely posting to the general ledger.
- Lead, coach and schedule an AP team to meet transactional deadlines and service-level targets during a temporary assignment.
- Manage vendor relationships and resolve escalated issues, disputes and missing/incomplete documentation.
- Oversee disbursement activity: prepare payment runs, wire/ACH transfers, check issuance and payment authorisations in accordance with policy.
- Execute month‑end AP close tasks and supplier reconciliations; ensure accurate cut‑offs and accruals for financial reporting.
- Maintain and enforce internal controls and compliance requirements related to AP processes; support external and internal audits.
- Drive process improvements to increase efficiency, reduce risk and simplify vendor onboarding and invoice workflows.
- Prepare and deliver AP metrics and status reports to finance leadership; escalate operational risks and bottlenecks promptly.
Qualifications
- Proven supervisory experience within accounts payable or shared services operations (temporary/interim supervisory assignments acceptable).
- Comprehensive knowledge of AP procedures, vendor payment methods and US financial reporting cut‑offs.
- Demonstrated ability to lead a small team, prioritise workload and meet tight month‑end deadlines.
- Strong attention to detail, problem‑solving aptitude and commitment to maintaining rigorous internal controls.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for cross‑functional interaction with procurement, treasury and external vendors.

Mid‑senior level professional with several years of progressively responsible accounts payable experience and prior supervisory responsibility; experience supporting month‑end close and audits is required.
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field preferred, or equivalent professional experience.
