Amanpulo, an ultra-luxury resort on a private island in the Cuyo Archipelago of Palawan, seeks a Sports & Recreation Coordinator to create engaging recreational experiences for guests. The coordinator manages departmental administrative tasks, responds to guest inquiries about water sports and diving opportunities, welcomes guests to activities, and coordinates social programming and special events. This role requires strong organizational abilities, guest service excellence, and knowledge of sports and recreational activities in a sophisticated tropical hospitality environment.
Role & Responsibilities
- Manage daily administrative tasks of the Sports & Recreation Department
- Respond to guest inquiries regarding diving, snorkeling, and water sports opportunities
- Provide comprehensive information about available recreational activities and facilities
- Welcome guests to activities, introduce participants, explain facility rules, and encourage participation
- Coordinate and implement social activities and special events for guests
- Assist the Sports & Recreation Manager in planning, organizing, and evaluating day-to-day activity programs
- Contribute ideas and support special projects for departmental growth
- Monitor guest access, answer telephone inquiries, and provide information and services
- Work collaboratively across departments and accept special assignments as directed
- Provide personalized assistance to guests during activities to address needs and inquiries
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Hotel and Restaurant Management, Tourism Management, Sports and Recreation Management, or related field
- Minimum 2–5 years of experience in sports and recreation, guest activities, or hospitality operations
- Experience with international or luxury hotel brands preferred
- Knowledge of sports and recreational activities, including water sports, snorkeling, and diving
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel
- Strong administrative and organizational skills in coordinating activities and guest requests
- Excellent attention to detail in handling guest information and activity schedules
- Fluent in English with excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Customer service orientation with a professional, approachable, and courteous demeanor
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment

Experience
