Janu Tokyo seeks an experienced Spa Therapist to deliver massage, body treatments and wellness services, create personalised guest experiences and support daily spa operations. The role also includes treatment-room preparation, compliance with safety and hygiene regulations, collaboration across hotel teams, seasonal offering development and guidance for junior staff. Full-time.
Role & Responsibilities
- Deliver massage, body treatments and wellness services in accordance with Janu standards.
- Provide warm, intuitive and personalised service that enhances the guest experience.
- Understand guests’ preferences and wellness needs, offering thoughtful recommendations.
- Prepare treatment rooms and maintain spa mise-en-place, cleanliness and organisation.
- Store, prepare and handle treatment products, linens and equipment appropriately.
- Comply with safety, hygiene and wellness service regulations.
- Collaborate with spa colleagues and other hotel departments to support seamless operations.
- Assist in developing seasonal wellness offerings and elevated treatment experiences.
- Handle guest inquiries, feedback and special requests professionally and attentively.
- Provide training and guidance to junior therapists or spa support staff when required.
Qualifications
- At least 3 years of practical experience as a therapist or in a similar role.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Conversational English proficiency (CEFR A2 or higher).
- Advanced business-level Japanese proficiency (CEFR C1 or higher).
- Candidates with exceptional experience or skills may be considered even if they do not meet every requirement.
