Aman is seeking a Spa and Wellness Director at Amanyangyun in Shanghai to lead the Spa and Wellness division, including wellness programmes, spa and movement services, membership, heat facilities, the gym and yoga. The director will develop colleagues and wellness immersions and retreats while elevating guest experience and departmental financial performance. Full-time role.
Role & Responsibilities
- Lead daily operations of the Spa and Fitness facilities, ensuring the highest standards of service, privacy, and guest experience.
- Develop and manage annual budgets, business plans, and financial forecasts to achieve revenue and profitability targets.
- Analyse financial performance, including profit and loss statements, and implement strategies to optimise results.
- Maintain and evolve spa treatments, service standards, and operational procedures in line with industry trends and Aman philosophy.
- Collaborate with Marketing and operational teams to drive revenue growth, brand positioning, and guest engagement.
- Oversee recruitment, onboarding, training, and performance management of spa colleagues and contractors.
- Foster a positive and inclusive team culture through coaching, development, and clear communication.
- Ensure full compliance with health, safety, and regulatory requirements, including state licensing standards.
- Serve as the primary contact for guest concerns, ensuring prompt, professional, and discreet resolution.
- Drive innovation through capital projects, partnerships, and continuous enhancement of the spa and wellness offering.
Qualifications
- Proven expertise in financial planning, budgeting, and revenue optimisation, with strong numerical acumen and the ability to analyse financial performance.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to build meaningful guest relationships.
- In-depth knowledge of current wellness trends and holistic health practices.
- Strong leadership, delegation, and team development capabilities.
- Excellent organisational, analytical, and problem-solving skills, with a data-driven approach to performance monitoring and continuous improvement.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- High level of professionalism, discretion, and cultural awareness.
- Proficiency in Mandarin and English, both written and verbal.
- Authorization to work in China.

Minimum 5 years’ leadership experience in a luxury spa or wellness environment, including hands-on Spa operations experience in a luxury hotel in Shanghai.
