Aman is seeking a Security Manager for Aman New York to lead department operations and protect guests, colleagues, and property while supporting safety programs and emergency preparedness. The role requires at least five years of supervisory experience in luxury hospitality and a T-89 Certificate of Fitness from the FDNY; annual compensation is $80,000–$85,000.
Role & Responsibilities
- Manage the Security Department, protecting personnel, guests, and the property.
- Assist the Director and Assistant Director of Security in leading the team, overseeing safety programs, and liaising with law enforcement.
- Maintain high standards in interactions with guests and colleagues.
- Conduct day-to-day operational duties as directed.
- Collaborate with all hotel departments to support unity and uphold luxury standards.
- Ensure House Officers complete at least two property tours per shift to maintain a safe and secure environment.
- Assist with developing and implementing departmental Standard Operating Procedures.
- Review and follow up on all incident, loss, and accident reports.
- Oversee fire and life-safety policies and procedures required by New York City Fire Department fire safety director legislation.
- Assist in training colleagues in emergency preparedness and procedures.
- Enforce the hotel’s rules and regulations.
- Anticipate and understand guests’ needs.
Qualifications
- At least 5 years of supervisory experience in a luxury hospitality environment.
- T-89 Certificate of Fitness from the FDNY.
- Ability to handle guest requests, complaints, and concerns efficiently, calmly, and genuinely.
- Positive, inclusive, genuine, innovative, engaging, and energetic personality.
- Strong organization and time-management skills, with high attention to detail.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift and push items, equipment, and packages weighing up to 50 lb.
- Excellent written and verbal English communication skills; additional languages are a plus.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks in an intense, fast-paced environment.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work under pressure with varied stakeholders.
