The Security Guard at Amangiri is responsible for protecting guests, staff, property, and equipment across the ultra-luxury resort and its satellite Camp Sarika, set on 900+ acres of the Colorado Plateau. The successful candidate will conduct regular patrols, monitor CCTV systems and alarms, manage access control, respond to incidents, and maintain emergency preparedness while projecting a professional and welcoming demeanor consistent with luxury hospitality standards.
Role & Responsibilities
- Provide exceptional guest experience by projecting a professional image, greeting arriving guests and visitors, and addressing their needs
- Conduct regular patrols of resort buildings, grounds, and equipment to detect and prevent security breaches
- Monitor CCTV cameras and security systems, reporting irregularities, safety hazards, and security violations
- Control ingress and egress at access points, verifying credentials and ensuring compliance with security protocols
- Complete accurate incident and accident reports in a timely manner
- Take lead or participate in emergency situations and rescue operations as required
- Address security violators, trespassers, and unauthorized persons in a professional manner
- Perform routine inspections of emergency call boxes, doors, windows, gates, and security equipment to verify functionality
- Maintain clear communication with security personnel, management, and emergency responders
- Maintain detailed records of activities, incidents, and shift observations
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of relevant security experience
- Minimum 2 years of previous guest service experience
- Clear criminal record and clean driving record
- First Aid certification (or ability to obtain)
- Prior experience with CCTV systems and security monitoring equipment
- Ability to work flexible shifts, including weekends, nights, and holidays
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to remain alert for extended periods and handle security equipment
Skills
Experience
Minimum 1 year of relevant security experience and minimum 2 years of guest service experience, preferably in a luxury hospitality setting. Experience with CCTV systems and security monitoring equipment is required.
Education
First Aid certification required or ability to obtain. AED certification or Utah Guard License preferred or ability to obtain.
