Janu Tokyo seeks a Rooms Intern to support Front Office and Housekeeping operations in Tokyo's luxury hotel within Azabudai Hills.
Role & Responsibilities
- Support daily operations of the Rooms Division, including Front Office and Housekeeping as assigned
- Assist with welcoming guests and providing attentive service in accordance with Janu Tokyo service standards
- Support Front Office colleagues with guest-related tasks including check-in and check-out preparation, guest requests, and operational duties
- Assist Housekeeping colleagues with maintaining guest rooms and public areas to required standards of cleanliness and presentation
- Support the preparation and organization of guest rooms and amenities
- Communicate effectively with other hotel departments to support smooth daily operations
- Follow hotel policies, procedures, safety standards and service standards consistently
- Maintain professional appearance and demonstrate appropriate hospitality etiquette
- Actively participate in training and learning opportunities throughout the internship
- Demonstrate positive attitude, teamwork, flexibility and willingness to learn in a fast-paced luxury hospitality environment
Qualifications
- Active enrollment in an educational institution throughout the internship period
- Internship must be a mandatory component of academic curriculum with a duration of at least 6 months and no more than 1 year
- Total internship period must not exceed one-half of the standard duration of the student's academic program
- Excellent communication skills
- Advanced business-level English proficiency (CEFR C1 or higher)
- Business conversational level Japanese proficiency (CEFR B1 or higher)
- Basic PC skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and typing
Skills
Experience
Passion for luxury hospitality and a strong willingness to learn are essential. Prior hotel or hospitality experience is not required, as the internship is designed for motivated students eager to develop foundational knowledge in contemporary luxury hospitality operations.
Education
Currently enrolled student; internship must be a mandatory component of the educational program.
